Cafe Review
The fresh and airy design of Manki is immediately apparent from peering into its large front windows. Stepping inside it’s a tranquil, open and modern design with hints of retro speckled throughout.
The centrepiece is most certainly its long counter area lined with prominent light fixtures that features a pastry display case, a beautiful La Marzocco gs3 and other coffee bits and pieces.
Opposite the counter, intimate seating lines the wall as you walk towards the back of the small sized venue. The rear portion holds a large table with bed-like seating and a nook with seating and small tables.
The venue is tastefully decorated with wall treatments, furnishings, plants and other niceties that all come together in a cohesive design. Windows cover not only the front but back of Manki, where a door leads out to it’s small patio overlooking Lý Tự Trọng.
The coffee is nicely executed and has a well rounded and enjoyable taste. Espresso based drink varieties can be ordered either as single origin or as a blend; Vietnamese coffees are also available. A selection of pastries can also be ordered.
Friendly staff, a refined atmosphere and solid coffee make Manki a recommended stop on your next coffee tasting trip.
