Cafe Review
Walking into the front door of Lalin’s Coffee you’re immediately greeted with the heart of its coffee making capabilities with prominent espresso machine and grinders on display. The venue’s long narrow shape with classic white tile walls is reminiscent of a deli style shop, somewhat unique for Ho Chi Minh.
A large baked goods display case sits immediately after the front counter, and a glass partitioned preparation area runs along the length of the left side. A limited number of wall mounted tables along with chairs line along the right side.
Proceeding to the upper floor, the venue opens up greatly and you enter into a large space with high ceilings, large windows, simple modern decor and plenty of seating. The front is an entirely glass wall with a door leading to the outdoor patio.
The coffee on offer includes Vietnamese style coffees, espresso based drinks and cold brew. The Latte was rich, balanced and distinctive in its taste. Pairing that with their hearty banana bread was definitely a good choice. A variety of baked goods and desserts are available.
Overall Lalin’s Coffee was a nice little coffee spot that hit the spot.
