Cafe Review
DOP Caffe sits nicely at the end of a quiet side street in District 1. Weather day or night, it’s inviting two-story frontage draws you into its comfy and easy going interior. An interesting blend of unfinished concrete, dark wood furnishings, rounded features, high ceilings, traditional window treatments and a touch of greenery give it a modern yet homey feel.
The downstairs is split into a sitting area with a variety of seating configurations and a serving area with a prominent counter and bar stools along side a large window. Upstairs is also broken into two but by a wall with friendly window and doorway between the two sitting areas. A door leads out to a narrow patio that occupies the length of the upper floor and makes for a nice spot to sip coffee.
The coffee menu sports a simple line up of the essential espresso classics and Vietnamese coffee in iced or hot servings. Don’t let the pretty latte art fool you – the Latte is strong, gritty and shows you who’s boss – but take that as a compliment. It’s rich and has the punch you might want or need.
DOP Caffe is a good spot to drop in for a session on the laptop, studying or a catch up with friends.
