Cafe Review
Anh Coffee Roastery is creatively styled inside and out, making it an ideal setting to meet with friends over coffees. It’s got quite the curb appeal with its striking architecture and many unique design elements such as its prominent white rounded staircase contrasting the venue’s predominantly salmon color brick theme.
Out front, rows of outdoor seating along bench style tables make for an appealing and social spot in the evening hours. Inside the design is modern yet hints back to past decades in its decor. Brick is used liberally throughout in the floors, walls, counters and so forth to great effect. Well executed lighting, plants and flowing lines throughout make for great surroundings for any of the cafe style tables you choose. A coffee roasting machine prominently takes its place on the ground floor, responsible for the delicious coffee served.
Upstairs the theme continues, as you come up the stairs you’re greeted with a consistently designed space, benefiting from the open air design overlooking the street in front. A large circular portal looking down into the ground floor has seating encircling it for a unique seating arrangement.
The coffee (a Latte in this case) was an absolute treat, well prepared and served with rich and nicely balanced taste. Their extensive coffee offerings include Vietnamese style, cold brew, hand brew varieties (Kalita, V60, Chemex), Espresso, Americano, Cappuccinos, Lattes, Macchiato, Piccolo Latte, Flat Whites and Affogato. A full food menu with everything from croissants to burgers and spaghetti is available. Bags of roasted coffee beans for home brewing are available for sale.
The venue certainly falls in the ‘trendy’ category, ranging from lightly busy to heaving on weekends and popular time slots during the week. The cafe’s photogenic attributes have certainly not gone overlooked by many selfie takers.
Anh Coffee Roastery is well situated in the cafe dense District 3 and very well worth the visit.
