Cafe Review

On a quiet side street of Da Kao lies a humble little cafe named A Coffee House. Behind its greenery draped frontage, is a cozy little patio for 2 to enjoy coffee with large glass windows into the cafe’s interior.

Inside, everything in the small narrow single room seating area speaks to coffee. The long serving counter features various coffee brewing and grinding equipment and machines. Large canvas bags of coffee beans sit in front of the counter, while shelves of coffee related paraphernalia line the walls behind. Finally, two long bench style tables make up a bulk of the seating arrangement. The overall effect of the venue is a warm and inviting interior for people wanting an authentic cup of coffee.

Their talented barista serves espresso any style you like from Lattes and Americanos to Flat Whites and Mochas; Vietnamese style phin coffee; and pour over brews of all kinds. The Latte served was well prepared and a very satisfying. The beans are fresh roasted in-house and include Vietnamese sourced and international single-origin and speciality beans.

A visit to one of Saigon’s first specialty coffee establishments is most certainly recommended.
