Cafe Review
Inside Garage Coffee you’re brought into a unique space where mechanic’s garage meets New York subway meets industrial warehouse. The large 3 story venue uses staggered levels that create a dramatic architectural effect as you ascend through each floor.
Each floor has its own flavor. The ground floor uses an interesting blend of common garage findings like tools, NY subway signage, photo collages and intriguing wall treatments. Furnishings and lighting have an industrial feel, a lot of attention was given to how it all comes together.
The two upper floors use liberal amounts of cinder blocks, concrete, metal support beams, exposed ceilings all to create a more industrial warehouse feel. Sounds rather cold, but actually its a pleasant space to enjoy a coffee. The soaring ceilings, higher levels being able to peer down into lower levels and large front windows looking outward give the place ample character.
Coffees come in Vietnamese and espresso varieties, including cappuccino, latte and Americano, and are served simply and as a rather no-frills approach. But when taking everything into account, it’s an overall entirely different experience than usual that’s certainly worth a visit.
