Cafe Review
All Day Coffee is a masterpiece in cafe experience execution. A meticulous build out in a heritage building, supremely attentive staff, their daily roasted coffee, even right down to the beautifully designed menu and mugs – it’s all amazing.
Occupying the 2 story building on the corner of Hàng Bún and Quán Thánh streets, the building is a beautiful renovation inside and out. Excellent signage and large windows along the exterior’s appealing ground floor tease you with glimpses of the inside. A few small outdoor coves let you plus one enjoy gazing into traffic as you enjoy your coffee.
Once inside, its modern take on retro is consistently and meticulously executed wherever you look. Beautiful brick walls, floor tiles, furnishings, window frames, exposed ceilings, industrial lighting, exquisite leather recliners, even the doors – it’s hard to find any detail overlooked.
On the ground floor, when entering you’re greeted with the central serving counter. Clad with tile-work and wood counters, it hosts an assortment of wonderful coffee related machinery, utensils and a dessert display. Immediately left is the star of the show, their coffee roasting machine that runs every morning to make fresh roasted coffee along with a merchandise display. Moving further along through a doorway a seating area with large bright windows makes for a quiet area to enjoy coffees.
Stepping back and heading right from the central counter, a cozy corner featuring a long table and seating plenty for you and friends to meet together. Wall units lined with their wonderfully made mugs runs the wall’s length.
Heading upstairs, just when you thought you’d seen it all, you enter the second floor and start to ‘take it in’. Soaring exposed vaulted ceilings, perfectly staged lighting, original brick work walls, wood plank floors, seating configurations to suit any conceivable preference (recliners, cafe style tables, booths, long tables, diner style seating). It’s hard to articulate just want a great space it is. Each wing has its own unique design with a central connecting area – but all our bound by a common uniform theme and feeling. It’s energetic, yet comforting and relaxing.
Now onto the make or break… the coffee. It’s the perfect compliment to the surroundings. The Latte is rich, flavorful, balanced with a nice kick in its strength, topped off with nice Latte art and a cookie. Their menu goes across the full range of espresso drinks, cold brew, pour over, Vietnamese coffees and a mind numbingly good Egg Coffee that is out of this world.
Add to that a very nicely rounded dessert menu and a full food menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner with everything from salads to burgers – you’ll be sure to find the perfect companion for your coffee.
With all of this, what brings it together each and every visit is the staff, they’re always incredibly friendly, attentive and genuinely wanting your visit to be something special.
